Juliet & Jul-Yingtai

Juliet & Jul-Yingtai

Before this life, there was another book — checked in, forgotten, filed away with a red ribbon that was never meant to cross into someone else’s story.
Now a psychotherapist and her patient share a dream that isn’t theirs: one of Verona, one of Hangzhou. Two borrowed endings. One question — can it still be yours to choose?

“She carries it on her back first, but it strains her neck.
Kicking it forward hurts her legs, and it screeches too.
When loaded on her arms, it presses into old wounds.
Now she tries hugging it, shifting forward in tiny shuffles.
But when it grows bigger, she can no longer see the road.”

Generations of women have sought a room of one’s own. It is a small yet powerful ask — with a room, one can dream. But what if a room is not enough? We need a stage of our own — a world of our own. In our world, we define power on our terms. 我们创造自己的游戏。

Juliet & Jul-Yingtai is a world of our own. Here, one does not conquer through violent fits. Instead, we take root in the deep earth. Come spring, we offer shades to each other, leaves holding hands, ushering in the next season. Here, power lives in the memory. Always an uphill battle, remembrance is a statement of resistance, a decision to stay true to oneself, and an expression of tender, endless love.

Ultimately, this is a story of love — of how women love. We have been taught to love as mothers, daughters, wives, sisters. But when was the last time someone taught us to love ourselves? To love someone the way we love ourselves? Our body is not an apology. Our memory is not a curse. Our love is not a weakness. We invite you into this world of our own. In the next hour, experience the power of an ancient Goddess, the act of choosing to remember, the journey of women learning to love one another, then — against all odds — learning to love themselves.
